    I am the Director of Systems Design at Gulf Coast Web Net. I was a Systems Analyst in the Insurance Industry for over 27 years and have designed thousands of systems from complex relational databases to spreadsheets. What I enjoyed the most was making the most of the tools I had and making everything work smoothly and effortlessly.

    WordPress Origin Story

    I have been interested in web development from the beginnings. I learned how to build a website using HTML a long time ago. But, I didn’t use it in any real sense until 2009 when I decided to try WordPress. In 2011 I started my own company (Houston Web Net) to build websites for others. In 2013 I rebranded to Gulf Coast Web Net and currently manage over 100 websites for clients. I love my job! I have never enjoyed doing anything as much as I enjoy building websites. It marries the creative and analytical sides of my brain which is very satisfying.
